1.) Minors 17 years of age and under must have permission slip with their parent/guardian's signature.

2.) Only designated areas are for smoking.

3.) Alcohol is prohibited.

4.) Teams must be on time, otherwise will be disqualified (forfeit).

5.) Proper behavior is required, towards referees and others or else you will be disqualified.

6.) If you have any concerns, notify your coach or captain.

7.) Shirtless or barefoot is not allowed

8.) Registration fee required before dead-line.

9.) The captain and the coach are responsible before dead-line.

10.) Teams who have registered must carry the receipt at all times.

11.) In order of qualification you must be an Eritrean.

Sport Activities Rules & Instructions

Festival 2008 Sport Section will have the following activities such as SOCCER,
BASKET BALL, TRACK & FIELD and OTHERS. However, it will be very helpful
to all of us to have a wonderful FESTIVAL if we follow these instructions. The sport
committee is welcoming positive inputs from you (Eritreans) because your participation
is highly demanded and fruitful to support our YOUTH. See the rules for each activity.

SOCCER:
1. All teams have to register and pay a registration fee as soon as possible
2. We can have different teams based on their age. This year we are expecting to
have soccer teams from our youngest Brothers/Sisters and our Fathers
(Shimageletat) beside the youth teams.
3. Other

BASKETBALL:
1. All teams have to register and pay a registration fee as soon as possible
2. There are boys and girls teams of different ages
3. Each team has their own uniforms

If you want to participate in other types of sport activities please let us know very soon so
we can cooperate with you. Our door is always open.

COMMENTS:
The last day for the registration will be 08-07-08. The sport committee will recommend
all the teams to register very soon because it is a challenging process to organize the sport
activities if you come on the last minute to register your team.

Once more the SPORT COMMITTEE will not accept late registration.
All the Eritrean communities will have full responsibility to organize our children/youth
and support them to register before the due date and make them ready to win the
championship for 2008 Festival.
